For Excellence in Medical Research, Training and HIV Care
Since 1992, JCRC has operated a network of state-of-the-art laboratories, specializing in clinical care and research. These laboratories are situated in all seven JCRC Regional Centres of Excellence, and are equipped with modern technology equipment and are being run by staff with long experience in laboratory technologies. The activities in these laboratories are categorised into the following sections:
A mordern P3 laboratory block is currently being completed at the JCRC Lubowa campus. This will host all research and patient care laboratories under one roof for the JCRC Kampala site, and is expected to greatly improve the capacity of the laboratories to handle large volumes of work, while improving on the output quality.
