Administratively, JCRC is governed by a board of trustees who provide administrative oversight over the Centre and offer overall guidance to management of the institution. The board with representation from each of the founding organizations is also charged with the overall strategic planning and putting in place policy frameworks and guidelines for the institution. The board appoints the institution's Executive Director assisted by a Deputy Executive Director with overall responsibility for the successful implementation of JCRC's policies and programmes; development of the Centre's strategic partnerships providing the manager all and scientific over sight and ensuring Centre sustainability. To assist the executive directors are directorates namely of research that oversees all research activities at the center, the clinical and laboratory services that oversees the clinical and laboratory responsibilities of the institution, the Training and capacity building that is charged with all capacity building activities of the center, Finance and administration. The directorates are interlinked and work hand in hand with each other to ensure that the institution's vision and mission are fulfilled.
