JCRC’s Radiology Department is equipped with state-of-the-art imaging technologies to support accurate diagnosis and clinical decision-making. The unit offers high resolution ultrasound scan services and has a modern digital X-ray machine with high resolution and connected to PACS+RIS software that allows smooth acquisition, storage and transmission of images to all devices with Radiology-DICOM compatible software.
It has a Dual-Energy X-ray Absorptiometry (DEXA) scan used to assess bone mineral density and whole-body composition for visceral fat assessment. The unit also provides blood product irradiation services to enhance transfusion safety for immunocompromised and other high-risk patients. The radiology department also offers cardiology diagnostic services and has a modern two-dimensional echocardiogram and an electrocardiogram. All these services are critical for both routine patient care and specialized clinical research activities.
