HIV Services

The JCRC provides comprehensive HIV prevention, care, and treatment services tailored to the unique needs of children, adolescents, and adults. For children, prevention and care services include early infant diagnosis, pediatric antiretroviral therapy (ART), nutritional support, and caregiver counseling to ensure adherence and overall well-being. Adolescents benefit from youth-friendly services to include; HIV testing, counseling, ART initiation and monitoring, psychosocial support and sexual and reproductive health education to promote healthy lifestyles and adherence.

Our Adult HIV services include, ART initiation and optimization, management of opportunistic infections, viral load monitoring, Family Planning, Psychosocial support, Cervical Cancer Screening, Gender-based Violence support, and treatment of opportunistic infections. Across all age groups, prevention services such as Early Infant Diagnosis, pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP), post-exposure prophylaxis (PEP), and health education are integrated to reduce new infections.

Through a patient-centered approach supported by advanced diagnostics, adherence counseling, and community linkages, JCRC ensures quality, holistic HIV care and improved health outcomes. All these services are provided at our centers of excellence that are located in Fort Portal, Mbarara, Gulu and Kampala.
