Our Laboratory Tests

Our laboratories employ robust Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) to streamline sample tracking

The JCRC boasts of state-of-the-art laboratories that serve as cornerstone for cutting-edge advanced diagnostics, biomedical and clinical research support, high-quality results. The laboratories are furnished with the latest innovative technologies, enabling precise and reliable diagnostic services for enhanced patient care.

1. Immunology

Immunology tests assess the immune system’s response to infections, autoimmune diseases, allergies, and other conditions affecting immune function. The tests assess antibodies, antigens, and other markers that indicate immune activity or dysfunction.

Immunology Tests:

  • CD4/CD8 Counts
  • HIV Ab Test (Rapid)
  • HIV Geenius

2. Virology

Virology tests are used to detect and identify viruses in the human body, helping to diagnose viral infections, monitor disease progression, and guide treatment plans.

Virology Tests

  • HIV Viral Load/RNA PCR
  • HBV Viral Load/RNA PCR
  • HCV Viral Load/RNA PCR

3. Hematology

Hematology tests focus on blood and its components, helping to diagnose blood-related disorders such as anemia, clotting disorders, blood cancers, and infections. These tests analyze red and white blood cells, platelets, hemoglobin levels, and other blood parameters.

Hematology Tests

• ABO & Rh Blood Group
• Rare Antibody Screen
• Cross Matching
• ESR
• Blood Film comment
• CBC/Differential
• Malaria Parasite Identification
• Sickle Cell Genotyping/ Hb Electrophoresis
• APTT, PT and INR
• Direct antiglobulin test (DAT)

4. Microbiology

Microbiology tests are used to detect and identify microorganisms such as bacteria, fungi, viruses, and parasites that may cause infections. These tests can identify the specific pathogen and help determine appropriate treatment, including antibiotic sensitivity.

6. Immunoassay

Immunoassay tests are laboratory techniques used to detect or measure specific proteins, hormones, drugs, or other substances in a sample usually blood, urine, or saliva by using the immune system’s natural ability to recognize and bind to particular molecules (antigens).
