For the third-year running, the Joint Clinical Research Centre (JCRC) has emerged victorious at the Lubowa Community Day, taking home the coveted trophy and once again demonstrating that strong communities are built through service, connection, and shared purpose.
Lubowa Community Day is an annual gathering that brings residents together for a good cause, networking, recreation, and meaningful bonding. Beyond the celebrations, the event provides a valuable platform for strengthening relationships and fostering a healthier, more connected Lubowa community.
This year’s edition was held on Saturday, 29th August 2026, at the African Bible Institute, bringing together residents, organisations, and community partners for a day filled with health, fun, sports, and fellowship.
As part of JCRC’s commitment to taking healthcare closer to communities, the JCRC team provided a range of free health services, including HIV screening and counselling, wellness checks, nutritional guidance, and other health education services. The team interacted with community members, offering practical information and encouraging residents to take charge of their health through prevention, early detection, and timely care.
But JCRC did not come only to serve—it also came ready to play! Our team actively participated in several sporting and recreational activities, including football, showcasing teamwork, determination, energy, and the competitive spirit that continues to define the JCRC family.
The victory marks the third consecutive Lubowa Community Day Trophy for JCRC, making it more than just a sporting achievement. It is a reflection of our people, our teamwork, and our commitment to being an active and trusted partner within the community.
